Homework Policy: 1. Homework is 10% of the course grade 2. Late work will only be accepted due to an excused absence
Weekly Assignments: Students will put into practice a variety of weekly reading responses in order to demonstrate their understanding and practice the art of selecting challenging reading materials. In this way, students are encouraged to practice reading and thoughtful writing experiences weekly. Homework/Reading Logs, due once a week, build fluency, foster deep processing of learning, build background knowledge, connect creative and critical thinking, and enhance class discussion.
Class Materials:
A successful student will bring to school, every day:
1 Composition Notebook
1 College Ruled Single Subject Spiral Notebook
2 Reams of Loose Leaf College Ruled Paper
1 Set of Index Cards
5 Pens (black or blue)
5 Pencils
5 Highlighters (any color)
1 binder with dividers (for ELA use only)
